FRAME FIT & SIZE GUIDE
This is how we measure our frames at Vintage Collective Eyewear:
Measurements will always be in mm millimetres.
Frame Width – From hinge to hinge, from one side to the other of the frame.
Lens Height – From the highest point of the lens – top to bottom.
Lens Width – From the widest point of the lens – from side to side.
Temple Length (Arm Length) – From the hinge to the temple tip end – straight across, following the shape of the temple.
We will indicate if the frame fits unusually small or large, or if there are any particular features to highlight.
You might also notice on some frames there are numbers printed on the inside of the temple, these describe the following:
Other measurements you might see on a vintage frame:
You might see something like:
52 □ 18 140
This stands for: Lens Width | Bridge Width | Temple Length
Or
41 52 □18 140
This stands for: Lens Height | Lens Width | Bridge Width | Temple Length
(That little square/box symbol “□” separates lens width from bridge width.)
If you require any other measurements or information about any frame, please email us and we will be happy to help!
