SUSTAINABILITY STATEMENT

As a small, independent brand, we’re very aware of the role we play within the wider fashion industry. We do our best to approach everything thoughtfully and responsibly, and to contribute in our own way to a more sustainable and conscious future for fashion.

At the heart of what we do is a simple belief: the most sustainable product is one that already exists. By sourcing and reselling authentic vintage, archive, and pre-loved designer sunglasses and accessories, we’re able to give beautiful, well-made pieces a second life — while reducing the need for new production and its environmental impact.

We focus on longevity, reuse, and mindful consumption. Instead of constant newness, we’re drawn to timeless design and pieces that have already proven they can last. Whether it’s eyewear, jewellery, or small leather goods, we love offering items that carry both character and lasting value.

Choosing vintage is a small but meaningful way to shop more consciously. It’s about appreciating what already exists, keeping quality pieces in use, and helping to reduce waste — including keeping items out of landfill.

We know we’re just one small business, but we believe that small, thoughtful choices can all add up. And we’re proud to be part of a wider shift towards a more sustainable way of engaging with fashion.

A PERSONAL FOUNDATION

This business began whilst I was working at Vivienne Westwood, where I spent 17 years immersed in a brand that challenged the fashion industry to think differently.

Vivienne Westwood was not only a pioneering designer, but one of the earliest voices to openly advocate for sustainability, responsibility, and a more conscious approach to consumption. Being part of that environment shaped the way I see fashion — not as something disposable, but as something to be valued, preserved, and worn for years to come.

That mindset naturally led me towards vintage. The idea of giving existing pieces a new life, appreciating their craftsmanship, and keeping them in circulation felt like a genuine extension of everything I had experienced during my time there.

Her philosophy continues to guide this business today:

OUR SUSTAINABILITY PRINCIPLES

1. Circular Fashion

Everything we do is rooted in a circular approach to fashion. By sourcing and reselling vintage, archive, pre-loved, NOS and deadstock designer sunglasses and accessories we give existing pieces a new life.
Rather than creating demand for new production, we focus on what already exists — helping to reduce the impact linked to manufacturing, materials, and overproduction.

2. Keeping Pieces Out of Landfill

So many beautifully made designer sunglasses are forgotten or left unused, despite still being perfectly wearable.
By carefully sourcing and reintroducing these pieces, we help keep them in circulation and out of landfill, connecting them with people who truly value their design and craftsmanship.

3. Thoughtful Sourcing

We take care in sourcing authentic vintage eyewear through trusted suppliers and collectors. Every piece is chosen for its quality, authenticity, and ability to be worn and loved again.

4. Pre-Loved, NOS & Deadstock

Our collection is a curated mix of:

  • Pre-loved designer sunglasses and accessories

  • Vintage archive pieces

  • NOS (new old stock) — unworn items from past collections

  • Deadstock — unused pieces from discontinued production

It’s all about rediscovering what already exists and making sure nothing beautiful goes to waste.

5. Designed to Last

Many vintage designer sunglasses and accessories were made with exceptional craftsmanship and materials, meaning they can last for decades.
By restoring and reselling these pieces, we champion longevity over disposability, encouraging a more thoughtful way of buying.

6. Restoration & Care

Where needed, pieces may be lightly restored — from careful cleaning to adjustments or lens, and stone replacement — always with respect for the original design.
It’s a small but important way of extending a product’s life and reducing unnecessary waste.

7. Conscious Packaging

We try to keep packaging as low-impact as possible by:

  • Reusing materials where we can

  • Choosing recyclable options

  • Avoiding unnecessary plastic

  • Keeping everything minimal and considered

8. Curated, Not Mass Produced

As a small business, our approach is naturally more considered. Our collections are carefully curated rather than mass produced, which helps reduce excess stock and avoids unnecessary waste.

9. Always Learning

Sustainability is a journey, and we’re always looking for ways to do better. As we grow, we’ll continue to refine our practices and make more conscious choices wherever possible.
